Progesterone: Promotes the growth of the endometrial lining during the luteal or 2nd phase of the menstrual cycle, thus the heavy bleeding during menses. It's normal. Don't worry, be happy! god bless you!

No ovulation: Progesterone is made by the body only after ovulation. Usually if ovulation doesn't occur, menstruation doesn't follow. By receiving external Progesterone this synchronizes the lining to be released.
