50 yrs old w/heavy periods lasting 10-14 days. blood work shows low vit d,b12& iron. i've increased iron & starting b12 shots & vit d this week as prescribed by dr. will these vitamins help my periods? gyno recommending progestin only pill too?

In short, no, the vitamins won’t slow your bleeding. The progestin only pill should help with that. The low vitamin B12 and Vitamin D mean you aren’t absorbing nutrients well from your stomach. The low iron is from your bleeding. Replacing your iron and vitamin B12 will help you have more energy, so do take them!
