How do i know if i have a tear? my knee feels like its rubbing against itself in the center to right side of knee(s) and pains when i run or exercise.

Knee Pain: The only way to know if you have a tear is with a good physical exam and/or mri. Unless you can identify an actual injury, it is unlikely you have a tear and probably need to strengthen some muscle groups, through physical therapy.
