Ride ex. bike: You can try an exercise bike, swimming or using the elliptical machine... Once you begin to lose weight(in conjunction w/dieting) you may be able to return to fast walking and possibly jogging. Its' always a good idea to seek the advice/ guidance of a certified trainer as well.See your pcp . Alternatives: Consider some alternatives like riding a stationary bicycle, using an elliptical, or even better swimming. As the pain you may be feeling could very well be related to weight bearing forces at your knee. The exercises mentioned above help limiting the forces on the knee. Best of luck in your endeavors.
