Bruise or hematoma: Bruises or a hematoma is when blood collects under the skin, outside a vein, from a trauma. Hematoma can feel spongy, rubbery. These take longer to heal than on face or arms..More than 2-3 weeks. Sometimes trauma on the leg can affect local circulation in the area with a resulting bulging vein that may go down in size but not go away. See vein doc: www.Phlebology.Org usually not dangerous.
