My 10 yo son developed papilladema from growth hormones. he is on diamox (acetazolamide). his spinal tap pressure was 24. after 2 months off the hormones they want to start them up at a lower dose and monitor yes no?

Possibly: Cat, your son has increased intracranial pressure with papilledema, which can be from gh use. If he is on Diamox (acetazolamide) and there is a real need for growth hormones, you and your doctors may be able to balance the risk/benefit. Watch for severe headaches (increased pressure), and blurred vision--make certain he is seeing a neuro-ophthalmologist or ophthalmologist frequently to make certain he is safe.
