High protein diet: Muscle stress will be severe. Will need to enhance your protein intake. Need good intake of salt and minerals (leafy green vegetable, dried fruits, fruit/vegetable juices) with carbohydrate loading starting 2-3 d prior to a race. Carbohydrate loading for training and during runs can be very helpful. As a woman be careful of just water loading. Recommend use of gatorade-type fluids, high salt diet.

Focused: Important focus for success.Hydration is very important, as you know from the half.Nutrition is very critical as you will deplete your stores in the full. So you must keep the tank from getting empty.Research different concepts, and talk with the running community to see how they handle it. Also imp. is nutrition in training, esp. recovery.Gels and sports drinks most common.Race the way you train.

Protein+carbohydrate: and proper fluid intake. The carbohydrates are the body's main fuel source and protein is essential for the growth and repair of muscle tissue. Both are critical for full recovery after running. Hope it helps.
