A member asked:

Can anxiety, panic, stress affect blood pressure. if so how does it and what can i doabout it. its ruining my life always worrying since panic, anxity?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, for sure: No doubt that it can raise your heart rate and your blood pressure but, even worse, it makes you feel bad and needs to be addressed. It does it by causing you to release Epinephrine and norepinephrine. There are many medicines that can help (propranolol for one), but counseling is important too. Check out a local mental health clinic or provider.
