Numbness: Numbness is a sign of nerve irritation -- it can be central (near the spinal cord or in the brain itself) or peripheral (closer to the thigh) -- there is a common benign syndrome called meralgia paresthetica that may be the cause, but this should be evaluated by your primary care doctor.
