A member asked:

My wife needs to go in for a reclast (zoledronic acid) infusion for osteoporosis! what are the symptoms and what is the percentages of people that have symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reclast (zoledronic acid): There are many patients in whom the bone density study reports low bone density but this does not always cause any symptoms. Reclast (zoledronic acid) will stop further bone loss and may increase bone density. Tell your wife that she need not worry about this treatment if she does not have any indication of bone fractures. If she had those issues her doctor should/would have told her.
