How long should i try home remedies for clogged ear wax until i see a doctor?

See doc if no help: It may take several days for home remedies to work. If a week or more has gone by without help it's probably time to see a doc. Even with the special equipment I use it can take some time and be challenging to remove wax from a clogged ear even in the office! see http://online.Wsj.Com/article/sb10000872396390444354004578058513951005712.Html.
