Maybe: If the discomfort is in the muscles near the surgical site, it may be that the muscles are weak & tire more easily with work or activities causing muscle cramping. Get more exercise & see your surgeon for an exam.

Hard to know: If the cramps are the same as before the operation, its possible that they weren't related to the hernia. It's also possible that the hernia recurred. Best to see your surgeon to find out.
