See below: Sometimes patients are labeled with fibro when they may have some other arthritic condition. If you have joint swelling of your fingers or wrist that may explain your rheumatologist made that comment.

I am also confused: I am not sure why the rheumatologist said that. One usually only draws diagnostic conclusions after a thorough history and physical exam.
