OCD: Many patients with ocd require higher doses of ssri's (like zoloft and paxil) than typically used to treat depression. From your question it seems your doctor could be adding a second ssri (paxil) before maximizing the first one (zoloft) -- or could be in process of cross-titrating to Paxil (paroxetine) rather than zoloft. I can't tell which is the plan from your question.
