A member asked:

Is rabies post exposure treatment still possible after 17 to 18 years ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: If you have made it through 17-18 years, you were either not exposed at all, or you are a world famous medical miracle. Rabies kills you within weeks if true exposure and left untreated. I know of medical literature of only 2 cases who have ever survived. The first was just a few years ago with a girl in wisconsin who was put in a coma to try and save her and she survived. One other since.
