A member asked:

Why there is no effective treatment of rabies still now?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The reality: Rabies moves quietly in its earlies stages. When it has become symptomatic, it has begun to kill nerves at an alarming rate. Nerves are one tissue type that does not self repair at the rate others tissues do. Rabies is like a house fire that has burned through the main structure before it is recognized. Then it is too far along to "fix".
