Hydrogen peroxide: Baking powder will not help; baking soda can help remove surface stains but does not whiten the teeth. Hydrogen peroxide whitens the teeth (may be mixed with baking soda to form a paste).

Teeth Whitening: You can use over the counter tooth paste, baking soda or crest 3D whitening strips or pens. However, they are not so effective and/or stable. OTC bleach and whitening tooth paste could be used as a supplement only. A professional teeth whitening without laser, followed by home whitening system with custom trays for the long term effect. You will be very happy with the results.

Best whitening: Most efficient whitening systems are done in cooperation with your Dentist. Way down on the list are whitening strips, and below them whitening toothpaste. Baking soda is merely a mild abrasive. Baking powder is useless. Before you do something damaging in the name of "beauty," please talk to your Dentist.
