No but: No, but try to keep your blood pressure under control with heart healthy diet, limit added salt, daily physical activity, weight loss if appropriate, avoid excessive alcohol, and if necessary medication.

No: High blood pressure does not cause gum disease. High blood pressure medication hemay cause gingival overgrowth (as in th the case of Nifedipine or calcium channel blocker) that may interfere with oral hygiene effort and affect the periodontal health. Discuss with your periodontist and your physician.

No: There is no known connection between hypertension and gum disease. Some blood pressure medications, calcium channel blockers, can have side effects that involve your gums. That is rare.

No: It cannot cause it; however, some high blood pressure medicine, the calcium-channel blockers like norvasc, (amlodipine) can cause your gums to swell.
