Palpitation: Nicotine and caffeine can cause the heart to race and skip - not exactly heart attack symptoms but may be upsetting nonetheless. Low blood pressure, if you're otherwise healthy, is considered a sign of good health.

Any stimulant : Like ones you've mentioned can increase palpitations or extra, early heart beats. Low blood pressure is only a concern if you have symptoms.

I started smoking at 14 & didn't quit until age 50. Then was on nicotine gum 2 yrs. My resting heart rate was always 70s or more. Gum caused tachy episodes so quit cold turkey Jan 1st. Since then, resting heart always 56 - 64. Is this change okay?
On nicotine gum for over 1 yr. Started having uncomfortable fast heart rate lasting up to an hour & increased BP. Quit gum 5 days ago. Been monitoring Bp & HR. Have been great. no meds. Today, resting HR is 57 & 58. Is that to low? Work at desk job?
