A member asked:

What is the life expectancy of an 87 years old with kidney disease stage 4 (17%) caused by 20 years+ of taking high blood pressure medications that are refusing for dyliasis treatment?

Stage 4 kidney disease mostly depends the age of the patient and the other medical problems of the patient. The Stage 4 kidney disease can be stable for a long time if the patient takes care of themselves. An 87 year old may have other medical problems that limit their life however. Just for perspective, based on age, the life expectancy of an 87 year old in general is about 5-6 years.

Life expectancy depends on many things eg heredity, illnesses etc. No guess in this situation will be accurate. The person and the loved ones should enjoy each day of life. Wishing the best
