I saw a psychologist (the only one in the area) 7 times for my sad and she asked too many personal questions, i felt intimidated, not helped at all.

See Below: To give a proper diagnosis a provider must ask you what might seem as personal questions. I always encourage clients to tell me when they feel uncomfortable, so we can explore that further. Therapy is a two-way street, i would encourage you to address it with your psychologist to figure out what's happening. Good luck!

She was: Probably attempting to discover if there are any underlying issues like personal and emotional injuries or trauma that could be a contributing or even a causative factor. It's part of the continuing assessment and treatment. If you are uncomfortable with personal questions then she might be in the right area; its possible that psychotherapy might not be for you. Keep trying with someone you trust.
