1 month colon resection, no stoma. bowel w/ some bright red blood, is this normal?

Not normal: Any blood is abnormal. Bright red blood is. Most commonly caused by hemmoroids , but also may have other causes, like diverticulitis or a tumor. Best to see a gastroenterologist and at least of a flexible sigmoidoscopy, specially wit h your history of colon resection.Reassurance is always good strategy.

Not really.: Hard stool can sometimes irritate the anastomosis (more common with stapled anastomosis) and could be a source of bleeding. Hemorrhoids can also get inflammed from straining or going to the bathroom more frequently. Your best bet is to see your surgeon. If this was an elective surgery the chances of having a tumor is unlikely as you likely had a detailed examination before.
