Yes: The booster doses of vaccines help bring up the level of protection to stable levels. With this vaccine it was found that 3 doses has the best chance of giving very long term immunity. The suggested sequence built this as quickly as possible.Your only loss with the delay is the potential for waning protection fro the initial dose.
