So far, among persons hospitalized (currently) with COVID, the majority have the Delta variant and the vast majority are non-vaccinated persons. The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, so far, prevent hospitalization and death from COVID variant infections.

Thank you for doing the right thing. Please take second shot as well. If everyone who’ can be vaccinated are vaccinated, use mask and social distancing till virus transmission is stopped, there will be no more variant but time is of essence. We can be fast enough to beat the virus. At this time, it is not the case. Hope it helps.

Thank you doing the right thing. More importantly vaccine do not protect you from getting COVID, main function of vaccine is reduce risk of complications(Hospitalization and death). As we are seeing the most of people being hospitalized(80%) and dying(90%) from delta variant are unvaccinated. You have given yourself best chance to survive. To reduce risk of infection use mark and distancing
