Overuse injury: It may be that you are not in shape for standing long hours. You may not have proper shock absorption in your shoes. You could have any overuse injury or arthritis in ankle. There are other things it could be...You should see a podiatrist and be evaluated.

Many : Things can cause swelling like high blood pressure, alcohol intake, a lot of salt in your diet and bing overweight but standing all day make the blood pool in lower extremities due to gravity. I would suggest custom orthotics to help your feet and ankles and elevate when you can.
