Hard to say: Bone contusions can be treated in a variety of fashions depending on location, symptoms, etc. Usually, we will treat these with a cast boot to immobilize and rest the foot, ice, antiinflammatories and limited standing/walking. In severe cases, non weightbearing (crutches) may be needed. Follow the instructions of your foot care physician. Dr. L.
