When do you decide for your 16 month old baby to stay at home or to go to chreche? is a runny nose and a cough good enough reason?

Day care: Young children who go to daycare have a higher rate of colds and ear infections due to their immature immune system and immature anatomy of their eustachian tubes. If financialy feasible, they are better off to stay home with mom for the first 3-4 years!

Runny nose: If the child is not febrile and fussy then a cough and runny nose does not have to keep you in. Just make sure he/she is eating/ drinking appropriately and otherwise behaving normally.
