I have post nasal drip. for some reason, everytime i eat or drink while thinking about it i have to cough. the cough isn't forced (like i'm aspirating), but rather i do it to feel good. i feel strange if i don't cough after eating, so i do it. tips?

Why post nasal drip: If post nasal drip is your norm, it can indicate that something is going on in your sinuses or that you have allergies. A dr can determine if you have sinusitis/allergies and can offer a treatment regimen to clear it. Most common treatment involves an antihistamine (benadryl, xyrtec, claritin) and a decongestant (oral or nasal spray). You may need antibiotics for the sinusitis. = no coughing.
