Ankle twisted: Sorry to hear, you may have a more severe ankle sprain. At this point, physical therapy may be helpful. If pt fails, you may need further diagnostic imaging like an mri. There may be more severe damage to your ankle joint and it may need more specialized treatment. Hope this helps.

Try: A brace and see if that helps. Ligament damage if grade 3 usually needs surgery to prevent chronic ankle instability.
