Stretch: Stretch and activity will start to loosen the area.

You need the brace!: You still need the brace. It is not all healed if it still hurts. First, get an MRI to rule out a longitudinal tear of the posterior tibial tendon. This is common in overweight patients and can be treated conservatively or surgically. Try a richie brace. Leo krawetz, dpm, facfas.

Strengthening : Two months is a long time in a stirrup brace. A home program or structured physical therapy program to strengthen the ankle is crucial. I wouldn't rush to an MRI but a thorough exam to rule out an injury to other problems is important. Start wearing the brace less and less as you rebuild strength.
