Weight loss: If you lose two pounds a week it will take about 20 weeks to get down to 130. In other words, it will take 5-6 months to get the job done. Good luck!

Year and Half: About 1/2 pound a week is a healthy rate of loss. 40 pounds will take 80 weeks, but you might be able to go a little faster. Fruits and vegetables will help it be healthy. Avoid sugar, bread, pasta, potatoes and rice. Drink plenty of water. Exercise moderately at least some every day so you get a good habit. Stop smoking and drinking alcohol if you use those. A little alcohol a day is ok.
