Show and tell: Do it together. Children will emulate their parent's behavior. Know that your child will not have the eye-hand coordination to effectively brush until age 5-6, and floss until age 9-10. You'll have to make this a joint activity, where your child watches you and mimics your behavior, and you step in and help them get to the hard to reach areas. Ask your dentist for suggestions.
