Ulnar Nerve Pressure: The hand iscontrolled by 2 nerves, the median and ulnar nerves. Pressure on the median nerve causes carpal tunnel and you had srugery for that. The ulnar nerve controls the small and ring fingers and can be compressed at the elbow or the wrist. Capal tunnel surgery will not help with ulnar nerve compression. I would suggest a repeat visit to your surgeon to discuss.

Cubital tunnel is: Compression of the ulnar nerve at the elbow. Findngs include numbness in the little and part of the ring finger, numnbess on the back of the hand on the little finger side, weakness of the small hand muscles , weakness of the flexor tendon to the little and ring fingers and to a strong tendon on the inside of your wrist. The degree, extent, severity of these findings and actual symptoms varies.

Time to see Dr.: Your symptoms sound more like cubital tunnel syndrome. This is compression of the ulnar nerve at the elbow. A nerve study and physical exam could help to make a definitive diagnosis.
