Need clarification : If the sharp pain was 6 hours after your delivery then it was a tonic contraction of uterus, it's when your uterine starts the process of shrinking back to the pre pregnancy size. At the same time the thick inside layer starts sloughing off and you start having the post partum bleeding. How are you doing after a week now? Did you discuss this with you ob?
