Maybe not: However the use of a "clip earring" which applies pressure in combination with otc silicone scar sheets may help to limit the growth. Keloids generally require steroid injections possibly combines with 5fu (fluorouracil) and pressure in order to reverse growth. On occasion surgery or radiation therapy may help.

Probably: Won't help, but sure won't hurt.

Perhaps: Taking the piercing out will be necessary to avoid making the keloid worse. But it could still keep growing despite removing the piercing. After the keloid is treated, repiercing will cause the keloid to reform or worsen again. Keloids are caused by trauma or injury to the skin. If you get keloids from piercings, they are likely to happen anytime you get a future piercing.
