Yes, in most people: Tuberculosis in an immunocompetent person is easily treated with 4 drug regimen today. However, TB in individuals with immunodeficiency, congenital or acquired, is still a challenge.

Yes: Active TB disease can be completely cured with appropriate therapy if done for the entire recommended duration (based on disease type & location). Many patients stop taking their medicines as they feel better even before it is completely eliminated from their bodies. Doing that allows the remaining bacteria to develop multi-drug resistance, making them harder to treat once their disease relapses.
