A member asked:

Sometimes i feel like there is a lump on my throat and i have abdominal discomfort. it is not painful but it feels like i'm starving. is this serious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be reflux: A persistent feeling of a 'lump in the throat' is usually due to reflux of acid. It might also be due to anxiety or other factors. The combination of this with abdominal discomfort and a hungry feeling might further suggest reflux or possibly an ulcer. If this is a frequent feeling, i would see a gastroenterologist.
