Not possible: The fetus does not feed on the placenta but is sort of fed by the placenta. The placenta supplies vital nutrients to the baby but is not consumed in the process.

Yes: Fetus gets all nutritional needs from the placenta through umbilical vessels , but you are providing , make sure you eat properly , don't take any chemicals , including alcohol and smoking , and protect the baby.
