Shoes shoes no brace: Some people r born with a predestined anatomical anomaly & they r hard 2 prevent. A normal foot can b influenced by footwear. No pointy shoes both help prevent @/or ease pain a brace will not correct a bunion u already have.

Bunion: Studies have shown orthotics do not prevent bunions. Custom inserts help restrict excessive motion or off load painful areas of the foot. They do not prevent bunions from growing. Sorry. Bunions are most genetic (recent framington study out of england). Best way to stop pain is wider shoes and antiinflammatory meds. Hope this is informative.
