Goal = 1-2lb/wk: Safe weight loss is approximately 1-2 pounds per week via a combination of healthy nutrition & exercise. Don't forget that body composition is just as, if not more, important than weight. After all, better to have more muscle than fat. Any way, losing 50# in a month isn't realistic, even if you're on a tv show. Go see your family doc to be sure it's safe to start exercise. Also check thyroid too.
