Easy does it: Losing a pound a week is the general rule. Losing it faster is possible, especially for a small amount but can be difficult. A pound a week is 500 cal per day. This is best accomplished but eating a little less and burning a little more by exercise. Walking instead of driving is always a good idea where possible.
