Theraband: Using a theraband, you can strengthen the ankle in a 4 planes- inversion, eversion, flexion and extension. Start with the lightest amount of resistance and profess to the strongest. These bands can be found online and at many stores that sell sporting goods. Don't forget about working on your balance. Stand on the affected leg only every time you brush your teeth. Advance to standing on a pillow.

Rebuild : I would see a physical therapist that specializes in sports injuries and they will come up with a regimen plan for you to strengthen your ankles , keep in mind when you have an injury to a ligament and there are many around the ankle they do not heal with the same strength do to scar tissue formation that is not as strong as the original ligament.
