Depends: Depends on why the test is being done. But if you need a MRI and mild sedation doesn't work, many radiology centers do conscious sedation. An alternative test is ct head with contrast but is often not as sensitive as a MRI but again it really depends on why the test is being ordered. Please speak with your ordering physician.

Hi doctors. I'm having a CT scan of the sinuses. The MRI of the brain from December, 2020 found opacification, but no tumor, nor did a visual endoscopy of my sinuses in the office....is it likely that there still may be tumors found on the CT scan?
