Depends: Normal serum creatinine ranges from 0.7- 1.5 mg /dl in many labs, however one should review the normal range in their lab report. Creatinine is a byproduct of muscle metabolism and is excreted by the kidneys. High serum creatinine generally indicate kidney damage.High levels can be seen in muscle damage, people who consume creatine supplements.Review the lab report with md.

A bit elevated: An elevated creatinine can mean that the kidneys are working less efficiently to eliminate waste products from your body. This can be especially important if you have diabetes or high blood pressure - the two leading causes of kidney disease. If you have either of these underlying conditions, get them under control asap. Ask your doctor about your "egfr" result - another kidney blood test.

Just a bit: Creainine in the blood depends on muscle mass and kidney function -- both raise it, and this would be slightly high even for a bodybuilder -- mine was 1.6 when i was lifting every day. This may be nothing more than a bit of reversible kidney slowdown from taking motrin, or might be something serious. Seek the underlying cause rather than a treatment for the number.
