Depends: There is some degree of discomfort associated with any surgical procedure. The unknown variable is how each person perceives and responds to pain. Your mouth will be numb during the procedure but you can still feel pressure. If you do not want to feel, hear, or see anything, you can have your dentist discuss options for sedation.
