Seek treatment: Bleeding is a sign of inflammation and tissue destruction. The most likely cause is periodontal (gum) disease, although there are many medical conditions that can contribute to or cause this. Therefore, it would be wise to see a general dentist or periodontist to find out what's going on in your particular case and get treatment. This is a warning sign that should not be disregarded!

You need to see a dentist for an exam and then follow up with the cleaning or scaling that it recommended.
