Ligament laxity: Once you sprained ligament you always have a sprained ligament. That means you will have a stretched ligament. This can lead to sense of flaxseed or looseness in your ankle. It also can lead to the development of arthritis at an earlier time then you would have developed it without your injury. See an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle problems.

Ankle Instability: Your ankle ligament complex may be too unstable through wear and tear and inadequate scar tissue. Try bracing to help stabilize your ankle. You may need a surgical procedure to stabilize your ankle instability. I hope this helps, good luck.
