A member asked:

An ekg was performed. everything looked good, but what exactly does that mean for my heart? is it healthy or could there still be something wrong?

ECG: A "normal" ECG means that the conduction system of the heart is in proper condition. Patients who have had heart attacks have distinct variations in the morphology of the waves. It sounds as if all is well so don't worry and enjoy yourself.

EKG NORMAL: The fact that the ekg was done and "looked good" is reassuring. I would ask why an ekg was done in a 23 year old female. Did you have symptoms concerning for heart problems? Do you have a family history of heart disease? I would recommend that you discuss this with your family physician or internist.
