Another option: Another option for dental phobia is acupuncture. Tiny auricular asp needles remain in the ear for 1 to 7 days. You can hit two birds with one stone and receive protocols for both anxiety and dental analgesia. It is very safe and you can drive yourself home from the dentist after the procedure.

Best plan of action: If you're a dental phobic, this would be my personal recommendation. Start by finding a well respected dentist in your area that caters to patients with dental phobias. Call the offce just for a consultation. Discuss your fears & have that dentist suggest appropriate ways to deal with having your dental treatment done. Please don't listen to friends or try to find the answers via the internet.

Other options: Find a dentist that you can talk to about your fears and build a trust with the dentist. Consider see a dentist that can use gas, sedation or nucalm to help you relax before dental treatment. Meditation will help.

Please consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy to help you with your dental phobia with tele-sessions.
