Smart decision: The problem could be simple fix or more complicated. Unfortunately, without being able to examine you and see some x-rays of the area, we could only guess as to the problem. Did you give your original dentist the opportunity to evaluate and fix the problem? For me, that would be step #1. If he\she was unable to make you comfortable, a second opinion is a smart decision.
